Yerevan hosts commemorative event to mark 75th birth anniversary of writer Hrant Matevosyan![]() December 24, 2010 - 19:57 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - On December 24, Yerevan hosted an event timed to the 75th birth anniversary of a writer Hrant Matevosyan. Matevosyan-authored prose readings, followed by screening of a documentary portraying the life of the great writer were the highlights of the commemoration evening. Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan, who was present at the event, shared his memories of the writer. The event was organized by Armenian Ministry of Culture jointly with the Cafesjian Center for the Arts and Hrant Matevosyan Foundation, governmental press service reported. ![]() ![]() Ara Aivazian said Azerbaijan continues the traditions of Turkey after seizing territories and forced Armenians out.
