Armenia and Thailand signed a joint statement on the tenth anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations.

The meeting will be held within the framework of the sitting of the Council of the heads of the Commonwealth states to be held in the capital of Moldova October 7.

Today Robert Kocharian and Heydar Aliyev came to such agreement in the course of a telephone conversation.

The agreement items provide for the opportunity of the ICRC representatives' talks with the prisoners without witnesses and the right of repeated visits if necessary.

The document in particular says that such statements cause perplexity and can be qualified as "an attempt to withstand to the deepening of democratic processes in the region, which in geographical aspect is within Europe's responsibility zone."

Today the invitation from Romanian Prime Minister Adrian Nastase to take part in the conference was passed to A.Margarian by Romanian ambassador to Armenia Pavel Platona.

Before beginning negotiations on that, the European commission will demand explanations from Ankara concerning the package of reforms passed by the Turkish parliament.

As it is known, all types of the Republic of Armenia armed forces, as well as Russian armed forces detachments stationed in Armenia will participate in the maneuvers.
