A working meeting of the co-chairmen of the Armenian-Russian intergovernmental commission for economic cooperation will be held in Yerevan October 23-24, according to commission Armenian co-chairman, defense minister Serge Sargsian.
The commission for assessment and control over films decided to cut off the episodes "presenting Armenian history with a hyperbolized language used in cinema and containing phrases humiliating Turkish soldiers.
The fact of the resolution being adopted in Lausanne, where a treaty "obliterating Armenian from the world map" was concluded between the Allies and Turkey, is considered as symbolical in the document.
"Justice" opposition faction voted against the present bill, as in their opinion, the authorities, under the pretence of law, aim at creating the opportunity of persecuting press.
Nagorno Karabakh president Arkadi Ghukasian noted that bilateral negotiations on Karabakh settlement held by Armenian and Azeri presidents cannot be frequent, meanwhile "settlement of the Karabakh issue demands conducting intensive negotiations".
The forum participants will discuss prospects of increasing commodity turnover between the two cities, issues of Russian investment attraction to the economy of Yerevan.
Today in Yerevan participants of the first "Armenia-Diaspora" economic forum passed a declaration, emphasizing the need for activation of cooperation and enhancing the efficiency of business information exchange between Armenia and the Diaspora.
"Azerbaijan is ready to any possible compromises not violating the territorial integrity of the republic," chief of the department of foreign relations of the president's administration Novrus Mamedov said.
