Armenia cooperate with Russia to develop knowledge-based economy

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian and Russian organizations have already started cooperating in the field of nanotechnology, Armenia's economy minister Nerses Yeritsyan said, addressing the " Russia-Armenia: economic cooperation " conference, organized within the framework of 'Expo-Russia 2009 Armenia' second industrial exhibition.



Armenia, as well as Russia, develop knowledge-based economies, he said.



According to the minister the Armenia-Russia cooperation has a potential in high tech, information and communication technology, electronic and instrument-making industries.



"Yerevan Physics Institute after Alikhanyan in cooperation with Russia's Institute of Nuclear Physics in Dubna jointly work to establish a regional center for nuclear medicine in Armenia, ", Nerses Yeritsyan said.
