Ameriabank plans doubling credit portfolio by yearend

PanARMENIAN.Net - Ameriabank plans increasing credit portfolio to USD 80 million, Ameriabank Director General Artak Hanesyan said after signing loan agreement with EBRD.

As he told a news conference in Yerevan, Ameriabank’s credit portfolio increased by 9,6% over January-February 2010 to comprise AMD 57 billion.

The EBRD is supporting the development of the private sector in Armenia and increases further the availability of financing in the real economy sector with a $10 million loan to Ameriabank for on lending to local companies under its Medium Sized Co-financing Facility (MCFF).

Thursday, March 4 loan agreement was signed between said Mike Taylor, EBRD Director, Financial Institutions, Central Asia, Caucasus, and Mongolia and Artak Hanesyan, Ameriabank Director General.
