North Caucasus may join North-South transit corridor

PanARMENIAN.Net - North Caucasus may join the North-South transit corridor, Russian Prime Minister said.

“We see a real chance for engaging the North Caucasus in North-South transit corridor, which will connect Russia and Europe with the countries of Persian Gulf and Central Asia. Makhachkala may become one of naval hubs of the Russian Federation,” Vladimir Putin said during a conference of United Russia party.

Belarus, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Syria, Bulgaria, Kyrgyzstan, Turkey and Ukraine are expected to participate in the project.
