Tigran Sargsyan characterizes 2010 as year of stable restoration for Armenia

PanARMENIAN.Net - At parliamentary hearing on 2010 state budget, Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan characterized the last year as a year of stable and consistent restoration, with anti-crisis programs starting to yield results.

Among improvements the Prime Minister noted progress in infrastructure achieved due to major public investments; creation of favourable conditions for M&S businesses, specific programs aimed at economy diversification, stimulated by the government.

Dwelling on 2010's macroeconomic indices, the Prime Minister noted that the GBP growth comprised 2,1% instead of 1,2% planned. Mr. Sargsyan explained the 2010's 9,4% inflation rate by the upsurge of international prices for essential food products and basic commodities, as well as a downfall in local agriculture.
