ARMENIAN PRESIDENT HOPES SITUATION IN ADZHARIA TO SETTLE PEACEFULLY

PanARMENIAN.Net - Yerevan hopes the leaders of Georgia and the Adzharian autonomy can solve problems via negotiations, Armenian President Robert Kocharian told journalists today. "We hope the parties of the conflict will settle the issue without clashes," he said. In R. Kocharian's words, Georgia and its Black Sea ports are extremely important to Armenia. The President also noted that the necessity of peaceful settlement of the situation in Adzharia was spoken about during the visit Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvili paid to Yerevan lately.
