  Expert: Assad’s regime preferable for Armenians March 24, 2012 - 15:15 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Maintenance of current President Bashar al-Assad’s power is preferable for Armenian community in Syria, according to Arabist Armen Petrsoyan. “From political perspective, Assad’s regime is preferable to that of Muslim Brotherhood with uncertain prospects through Turkish backing,” he said. The expert further voiced hope for the Syrian authorities to control the situation and avert development of a dangerous political scenario.
