DEMIRCHIAN SUIT CHALLENGING PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION RETURNS HEARD AT CONSTITUTIONAL COURT

PanARMENIAN.Net - A hearing of the suit of ex-candidate for the president, leader of the People Party of Armenia Stepan Demirchian demanding to recognize the returns of the second round of the presidential election void was heard at the Constitutional Court of Armenia today. Chairman of the National Assembly commission on state and legal issues Viktor Dallakian and lawyer Ashot Sargsian representing the plaintiff's interests interceded for adjourning the sitting to have time to familiarize with the documents provided by the central electoral commission April 2. Among these are documents on the number of complaints and statements, as well as the results of their consideration. After a closed deliberation the court resolved to adjourn the sitting till April 5.
