EP CALLS TURKEY TO OPEN BORDER WITH ARMENIA

PanARMENIAN.Net - Turkey should open borders with Armenia, says a report on Turkey's achievements on the way to accession to the European Union, approved by the European Parliament International Relations Committee. The report mentions all issues to be solved by Turkey before terms are established for starting talks on its possible accession to the EU. The document notes that besides lifting the blockade Ankara has to establish good neighborly relations with Yerevan, Mediamax news agency informed. The report also calls on the European Committee to put pressure on Turkey to solve human rights issues in the country and those referring to the superiority of law and settlement of the Cyprus problem.
