ARMENIANS OF GEORGIA CALLED BATUMI AND TBILISI TO SOLVE ISSUES IN A CIVILIZED WAY

PanARMENIAN.Net - The sharp exacerbation of relations between Tbilisi and the Adzharian Autonomy has caused extreme concern of the Armenian community of Georgia over the fate of their compatriots living in Adzharia, says a statement of the Council of Representatives of Armenian Organizations of Samtskhe-Javakhetia region of Georgia populated by Armenians, A-Info agency reported. "The fate of Armenians living in Adzharia especially makes us worry. On the one hand, their lives can be endangered. On the other, it is not ruled out that in order to save their families they will have to participate in possible hostilities as members of people's volunteer corps, for which we cannot condemn them," the statement says. The leaders of Armenian organizations said they were uneasy about the danger imposed to the territorial integrity and stability of Georgia and called Tbilisi and Batumi to solve all issues in a civilized way.
