EU SPECIAL REPRESENTATIVE FOR SOUTH CAUCASUS ARRIVING IN YEREVAN TODAY

PanARMENIAN.Net - Today within the framework of a regional visit European Union Special Representative for the South Caucasus Heikki Talvitie is arriving in Yerevan. In the course of the visit, which will last till March 26, he will meet with the political leadership of Armenia. It should be noted that before arriving in Yerevan the EU Special Representative was in Baku, where he held meetings with the Azeri leadership. Being asked there a question on his possible visit to Nagorno Karabakh, H. Talvitie said there was no need yet. At that he added that if it was necessary, the visit to Stepanakert was not ruled out. It should be reminded that in the course of the previous visit to Armenia at the turn of January 2004 H. Talvitie stated he was also ready to visit Nagorno Karabakh at the first opportunity and to meet with its leadership.
