DASHNAKTSUTYUN PARTY CALLED ARMENIAN OPPOSITION TO POLITICAL CONCORD

PanARMENIAN.Net - Further aggravation of the domestic tension in Armenia can lead to destabilization of the situation, undermine the authority of the state and impede the development of the country, the statement spread today by the influential Dashnaktsutyun party (ARFD) says. In the opinion of the party leaders, the irreconcilability of the opposition, actions of which bring to political disobedience by means of denying the legality of the incumbent leadership on one hand, and lack of full admission of the opposition to participate in resolving of the issues urgent for the development of the country on the other hand, lay in the basis of the present tension. According to the ARFD, the best variant to avoid collision would be the achievement of accord based on the readiness to settle the vitally important issues together. The ARDF proposes its mechanism for the achieving of such harmony, but first of all the sides should refuse from the claims unacceptable for each other. Besides, it is necessary to refrain from dividing the society in "ours" and "strangers" and this way to avoid actions, which could provoke collisions. The participation of opposition in the Security Council and the anti-corruption struggle, the possibility to reach consensus in the issue of constitutional reforms and changes in the electoral system could serve as an important guarantor of the effectiveness of mutual consent. Political coalition should be responsible for the dialogue and concord achievement, ARFD considers.
