“Beavis and Butt-Head” team to write for Woody Woodpecker animated film

PanARMENIAN.Net - Chris Meledandri’s Illumination Entertainment and Universal Pictures have set John Altschuler and Dave Krinsky to write the script Woody Woodpecker, the venerable and precociously noisy bird that first appeared in 1940 and will be resurrected in an animated feature.

Altschuler and Krinsky’s animated credits include the Mike Judge series creations Beavis and Butt-Head and King of The Hill, and they also scripted the Will Ferrell-Jon Heder figure skating comedy Blades of Glory. The film joins the roster of development projects for Illumination, which most recently released Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax, Deadline reported.
