OPPOSITION RALLY PARTICIPANTS BOMBARDED WITH EGGS

PanARMENIAN.Net - The meeting of Artashes Geghamian, the leader of National Unity party, with the electorate developed into an unauthorized rally today. About 2000 people with flags and transparences calling to throw down "Kocharian's regime" gathered at the depositary of ancient manuscripts of Matenadaran. When addressing them Artashes Geghamian called to support the opposition forces in order to "overthrow the authorities and pull Armenia out of the bog of corruption and poverty". By the end of the meeting the rally participants were bombarded with eggs, which were thrown from the windows of the neighbor houses. During the march several cameras and camera-recorders, which belonged to journalists, were broken.
