Russian FM’s visit aimed to warn of policy tightening- expert

PanARMENIAN.Net - Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov’s visit to Yerevan and Baku aimed to inform both parties about toughening of Russian policy following Vladimir Putin’s inauguration, according to Armenian political analyst. Sergey Shakaryants, however, forecast no drastic changes in Russian foreign policy trends, in addition to becoming tougher.

The expert further noted that the shift of Lavrov’s visit from working to official was set to prove the importance of ties with Armenia.
