Armenia is the only country that enjoys friendly ties with Iran, and Russia attempts to benefit from this, director of Regional Studies Center said.

According to Richard Giragosian, through discussing the situation around Iran in Armenia, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov aimed to gain Armenia’s support regarding the issue.

“Though Iran’s nuclear program poses a threat to the whole region, including Armenia, war is no solution to the problem,” the expert said.
