Despite its efforts to demonstrate a tough competition against the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA), the Prosperous Armenia party in fact agreed to a “junior brother's” role, Hraparak paper says.
In many RPA-led communities the Republican Party appoints its staff as deputy chiefs of Prosperous Armenia election offices, in order to provide for “fair” distribution of votes during the elections.
According to the paper, RPA will gain 35 per cent of votes, with Prosperous Armenia taking 25 per cent; the remaining votes will go to other forces participating in the elections.
