Voter lists to be finalized on May 4

PanARMENIAN.Net - The final, clarified lists of the voters will be ready for publication on May 4, Hovhannes Kocharyan, head of the passport and visa department of the police said on April 17.

“The citizens have the right to address the visa department to specify inaccuracies of the electoral lists until May 1, and the department must respond to voters in writing,” he told a press conference.

Kocharyan noted that they work in three directions to correct the mistakes; they use the data of parties’ headquarters, carry out daily media monitoring and namely work with the police.

“2000 people, those already dead are off the electoral lists now; another 1000 are removed from the list because they are not registered,” the official stated.

Kocharyan said people have to inform the relevant bodies about changing their residence addresses or in case they are no longer registered in Armenia. This is their duty, he noted.
