Heritage member: ANC-Prosperous Armenia rapprochement is taking shape

PanARMENIAN.Net - Member of Heritage party’s parliamentary group Armen Martirosyan met with journalists on April 17.

“Rapprochement between the opposition Armenian National Congress and Prosperous Armenia party is gradually being crystallized,” Martirosyan said.

According to him, this is a normal phenomenon, if one takes the political component of this process.

However, a question arises as to why they conceal these tendencies; “they should be honest with the voters”, he said.

“Besides, one should take into account that namely these parties’ representatives are responsible for the current situation the country has appeared in. The system of electoral bribes emerged with Levon Ter-Petrosian and ANC members. As to Prosperous Armenia, they “killed” the SME, they supported to bill against “simplified tax”, and they signed the new law on the state of emergency. The people must know who they are voting for, and who is coming to power,” Martirosyan stated.

Parliamentary elections are due in Armenia on May 6 featuring 8 political parties (Republican Party of Armenia (RPA), Prosperous Armenia, ARF Dashnaktsutyun (ARFD), Orinats Yerkir, Heritage, Democratic Party of Armenia (DPA), Communist Party of Armenia and United Armenian party, as well as one election bloc represented by opposition Armenian National Congress (ANC).
