As Vladimir Kazimirov noted at Yerevan hosted-discussions dedicated to 20th anniversary of Armenian-Russian diplomatic ties, OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs (including Russia) must take best efforts to prevent a new war in Karabakh. “The mediators must continue with their line of conflict prevention,” the diplomat said. Dwelling on Russia’s position in case of a possible conflict, the diplomat voiced his personal opinion, noting that the country, as a leading player in Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), will find itself in a difficult situation unable to openly support any of the conflicting parties. Dwelling on the hike in gas prices, Iskandaryan said the change also affected other countries importing Russian gas.
