Mr. Podestà noted several perspective cooperation areas, given the ties Armenian community in Milan has. Dwelling on strengthening of business-environment, he noted that a group of entrepreneurs from Italy will visit Armenia in November in the framework of Armenia-Italy qualifying round of 2014 FIFA World Cup. Discussion of a number of investment programs, including construction of North-South highway and a new power unit were in focus of the meeting. They further dwelt on the free economic zones formed in Armenia, possible attraction of Italian investments, development of such fields as textile industry, agriculture, pharmaceutics, culture, education and tourism sector, government’s press service reported. ![]() ![]() Yerevan has dismissed Turkey’s demand to shut down the Armenian nuclear power plant as “inappropriate”. Armenia will loan 2.9 billion drams to Nagorno Karabakh (Artsakh), according to a draft government decision. The Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Azerbaijan has “strongly condemned” Armenia’s decision.
