According to Hraparak daily, Armenia’s Agriculture Minister Sergo Karapetyan is the most active one among ministers in the current election campaign.
He embarks on large-scale propaganda realizing that he will maintain his office only by securing a considerable number of votes for his Orinats Yerkir party in the upcoming parliamentary vote. He often visits provinces, and also invites consultation meetings aiming to urge people, directly or indirectly, to vote for Orinats Yerkir.
However, his staff also includes representatives of other parties, particularly the ruling Republican Party of Armenia, and this circumstance has sparked some disagreements between the minister and his employees, Hraparak reports referring to a dispute between the minister and a forestry head.
The latter openly advocated for RPA, and faced the minister's reproach for that. Hraparak tried to check the news, but heads of other forestries claimed the minister held a working meeting during which no propaganda was ever voiced.
