Armenia’s Democratic party joins civilized campaign regulations

PanARMENIAN.Net - The republican council of Armenia’s Democratic Party approved the “Rules ensuring civilized competition during the elections”.

The decision is based on discussions of joint draft on “Rules ensuring civilized competition during the elections”, held by representatives of the Republican Party of Armenia, Prosperous Armenia, Orinats Yerkir, ARF Dashnaktsutyun and Communist Party on April 14, 17, 19, 23 and 25, respectively.

Democratic Party highlighted the importance of holding free and fair vote and declared it will follow the rules specified in the document.

"Abrahamyan's appointment came as a compromise, with his candidacy acceptable for the main political forces in Armenia," Arzumanyan said.
Abrahamyan has three weeks to form his cabinet and seek a vote of confidence from the National Assembly controlled by the RPA.
Stepan Safaryan noted that there is an invisible pressure on Sargsyan; "it’s coming from Russia, rather than Armenia," he said.
The course was aimed at professionals who successfully completed the Basic Criminal Intelligence Analysis Course in February 2014.
