Ameriabank continues aggressive growth strategy

PanARMENIAN.Net - Ameriabank CJSC ensured average 30% growth in the first quarter of 2012 compared with the same period of 2011, Ameriabank's Development Director said.

“We have pursued aggressive growth strategy for the past four years, ensuring minimum 30-35% annual increase,” Tigran Jrbashyan said.

Ameriabank CSJC officially launched its new Shengavit branch on April 27.

The new office in Bagratunyats street in Yerevan is in full compliance with modern technologies and services the bank employs.

As the banker noted, as a part of growth strategy, the bank plans to double the lending to small and medium-sized businesses, bringing the credit portfolio to AMD 30 bln. by yearend. Dwelling on the corporate portfolio, the bank intends to increase it to AMD 165 bln.

“Ameriabank sets a goal to ensure 60% growth in provision of services to physical persons,” Mr. Jrbashyan said.

The bank’s representative said that Shengavit branch, like the bank’s other offices, will also have a department targeted for premium clients.

According to Jrbashyan, this is the 9th branch office of Ameriabank, 5 of which are situated in Yerevan. They plan to open another branch in Gyumri shortly, he stated.

New customers will get a number of benefits if they open accounts in Ameriabank’s Shengavit branch before June 1, 2012.
