APPEARANCE OF A STATE OF KURDISTAN CAN RADICALLY CHANGE GEOPOLITICAL SITUATION IN REGION, RUSSIAN POLITICAL SCIENTIST SUPPOSES

PanARMENIAN.Net - The appearance of a state of Kurdistan can radically change the geopolitical situation in the region. Well-known Russian political scientist Andranik Mihranian told "Arminfo" agency. In his words, it poses the threat of destabilization of the situation in the adjacent Iran, which is extremely unfavorable for Armenia. At the same time the possible cooperation between the US and Kurdistan and deployment of American military bases there will notably weaken Turkey's position in the region. Thus, this will increase the pressure on Ankara from the point of view of settling the persisting problems with its immediate neighbors and Europe and will finally make it agree to a solution of a whole range of problems with Armenia, the Russian political scientist considers.
