Paper: Statistical Service says poverty level in Armenia 35,8%

PanARMENIAN.Net - According to Zhoghovurd daily, in the “Food Security and Poverty” report for January-March 2012, National Statistical Service of Armenia says no sector in the country’s economy shows whatsoever progress.

“2008 report showed poverty level in Armenia at 17,6%; extreme poverty level did not exceed 1,6%. In 2009, poverty level rose to 34,1%, with extreme poverty level put at 3,6%, while in 2010, the numbers were 35,8% and 3%.
