  Van Rompuy likely to reiterate EU’s wish to activate role in Karabakh issue June 8, 2012 - 22:01 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - President of the European Council Herman Van Rompuy will visit the South Caucasus countries in early July. As head of EU delegation to Azerbaijan Roland Kobia told SalamNews, Mr. Rompuy will discuss Nagorno Karabakh conflict settlement prospects. “President of the European Commission Jose Manuel Barroso and EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Catherine Ashton have repeatedly expressed wish for the organization to intensify its role in solution to the problem. In all probability, Herman Van Rompuy will issue the statement once again,” Mr. Kobia said.
