RPA member reluctant to violate presumption of innocence to ex-FM

PanARMENIAN.Net - MP from the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) is reluctant to violate the principle of presumption of innocence to ex-Foreign Minister Vartan Oskanian, voicing hopes for the whole story about money laundering charges to have a good ending.

“I hope Mr. Oskanian will be able to prove it was just a misdemeanor and not a serous crime,” Mkrtich Minasyan said.

Asked if the step was taken to prevent Prosperous Armenia from nominating own candidate at the upcoming presidential elections, the MP said, “There’s no need to worry, if the case has been instigated, with no crime having been committed.”
