ARMENIAN FOREIGN MINISTER DISCUSSED QUESTION OF PARTICIPATION OF ARMENIA IN ARAB LEAGUE WORK AS SPECIAL INVITEE

PanARMENIAN.Net - Being in New York to participate in the 59-th session of the UN General Assembly Armenian Foreign Minister Vardan Oskanian continued bilateral meetings yesterday, the foreign department press service reported. In the course of the meeting with Secretary General of the League of Arab States Amr Musa the question of participation of Armenia in the work of the important organization of the Islamic world was discussed. As a result an agreement was reached on signing a memorandum on mutual understanding in Yerevan or Cairo in the future. V. Oskanian also met with Egyptian Foreign Minister Ahmed Gheit, with whom bilateral, as well as international and regional issues were discussed. Today the head of the Armenian Foreign Ministry is scheduled to address the UN General Assembly.
