Armenian Defense Minister meets new Iranian envoy

PanARMENIAN.Net - On July 12, Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan met with a newly-appointed Iranian Ambassador to Armenia Mohammad Rayeesi.

The Minister congratulated the envoy on his new post, wishing him success in further development of Armenia-Iran ties.

During the meeting, the parties focused on multilateral cooperation as well as conflict settlement issues.

Davit Harutyunyan said an extraordinary session will be convened to discuss proposals for Electoral Code amendments.
"Some of the contracts have already been signed," Seyran Ohanyan said. "We'll do our best to have them in Armenia as soon as possible."
According to the MP, the President said “we have to do better to avoid surprise attacks by the rival and be able to adequately retaliate.”
“Armenia does not join the consensus on the Declaration of the Seventh Forum of the ‪UN‬ Alliance of Civilizations,” the Foreign Ministry said.
