Armenia, Iran sign document to build Park of Peace

PanARMENIAN.Net - On July 17, Armenian Minister of Nature Protection Aram Harutyunyan and Mohammad-Javad Mohammadizadeh, Vice President and Head of Environmental Protection Organization of Iran signed a Protocol based on results of Armenia-Iran expert group’s work.

The Protocol envisages construction of an international park of wild nature at Iran-Armenia border territory, proper use of Araks River waters, and mutual cooperation in scientific, technical, and educational sectors.

In conclusion, the Iranian official expressed hope for the Park of Peace and Friendship to be included in the list of UNESCO-registered sites.
