Armenian Police receives 800 applications for biometric passports

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian police issued 171 thousand passports in the first half of 2012, deputy police chief said.

Dwelling on biometric passports, Artur Osikyan noted that the police has already received about 800 applications.

73 people were admitted to hospitals, and only 26 of them, including 6 police officers, currently receive treatment in medical centers.
Martirosyan was detained on July 29, afterwards arrested and is currently held at a temporary police detention facility.
"The reality is that a group of people attempted to violate the security zone protected by the police," Ashot Aharonyan said.
First gathering at the Freedom Square, the protesters headed towards Khorenatsi street, where the seized patrol regiment is situated.
