PM: Armenian-Iranian project among key issues on govt. agenda

PanARMENIAN.Net - On July 20, Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan met with newly-appointed Iranian Ambassador to Armenia Mohammad Rayeesi.

At the meeting, the Prime Minister stressed the importance of bilateral ties, noting Iran-Armenia joint projects among the key issues on Armenian government’s agenda.

The Ambassador, in turn, pledged to contribute to further development of bilateral relations. The parties agreed to further expand the potential of trade and economic cooperation between the countries, also noting the importance of programs aimed at boosting tourism.

The parties discussed the upcoming launch of Meghri hydro power station and oil-products pipeline construction.

In conclusion, the Armenian official welcomed the Iranian leadership’s balanced stance on Karabakh conflict settlement, governmental press service reported.
