The expenses for the education provided by the Armenian state budget for 2005 will exceed the expenses for defense. According to Armenian Minister of Finance and Economy Vardan Khachatrian the tendency can be observed for the first time during the years of the republic's independence. In year 2005 the budget financing of education will make 55.399 billion drams, while 49.962 drams will be allocated to the armed forces.
