Prosperous Armenia responds to Yuri Vardanyan’s accusations

PanARMENIAN.Net - Prosperous Armenia party issued a statement on legendary weightlifter Yuri Vardanyan’s recent statements.

“Dear Mr. Vardanyan, No insult has been hurled at you by Prosperous Armenia spokesman Tigran Urikhanyan. An opinion was expressed that you would have better contributed to the development of sport during the years of your absence from the country.

As a renowned athlete, we find it inappropriate for you to get involved in intricate intellectual debates with our politicians. Nobody is going to politicize sport; it was just a question asked by a journalist during a press conference, with a positive response given.

We hope you will reconsider your inappropriate statements,” Prosperous Armenia party’s statement reads.
