Samsung Aug 15 event teases “New Way”![]() August 4, 2012 - 15:29 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Samsung just sent media invitations for an event in New York City on August 15. The invitation doesn’t say specifically what’s going to be unveiled, but the illustration appears to show the outline of a tablet created with pen strokes — which may imply another in one of Samsung’s line of Galaxy Note devices, according to Mashable. The rectangular shape of the invitation looks extremely close to that of Samsung’s Galaxy tablets, slightly too short to be a phone. The pen strokes are the biggest giveaway: each model in Samsung’s Note line of tablets and phones comes with a stylus, with specialized software. So far there’s the 5.3-inch Galaxy Note phone, which launched in the U.S. in February, and the 10.1-inch tablet. Our best guess: This is either the U.S. launch of the 10.1-inch model, or a new, 7-inch version, Mashable said. According to Mashable it isn’t is the next generation of the Galaxy Note phone. It’s only been on the market here for six months, after all, and rumors point to a late August launch for that device, which likely won’t include the U.S. in the initial rollout.
