Defense Minister visits Armenia’s north-eastern border area

PanARMENIAN.Net - On August 7, Armenian Defense Minister visited the north-eastern border area.

Seyran Ohanyan familiarized himself with the large-scale construction works and tested the resistance of defense and engineering facilities at frontline military positions. In conversation with servicemen on duty, Minister Ohanyan hailed border zone defense points.

He further visited a shooting ground in the north-eastern direction of the border zone.

Upon completion of the visit, Chinari town schoolchildren handed kind wishes to the minister, stressing the role of a strong statehood and army.

“Armenia does not join the consensus on the Declaration of the Seventh Forum of the ‪UN‬ Alliance of Civilizations,” the Foreign Ministry said.
The minister said that the process of unveiling the atrocities committed by Azerbaijan to the international community has started.
"The Minsk Group is only authorized to meet with the military-political leadership of both countries and visit Karabakh," Igor Popov said.
“Though we have never opposed this idea, I believe the conflict should be fully and finally resolved,” Serzh Sargsyan said.
