Armenian FM, Philippine leadership discuss cooperation![]() August 15, 2012 - 18:14 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian paid an official visit to Philippines on August 15. Minister Nalbandian met with President of Philippines Benigno Aquino III, who voiced hope for the Armenian official’s visit to give new impetus to bilateral cooperation. Edward Nalbandian, in turn, conveyed Armenian leader’s greetings, noting contribution to Armenian-Philippine relations as his visit’s goal. President Aquino briefed Minister Nalbandian on the outcomes of political, economical and social reforms and programs being implemented in Philippines. Minsiter Nalbandian, in turn, presented Armenia’s foreign policy trends and position on regional issues. Earlier, Armenian and Philippine Ministers of Foreign Affairs signed Memorandum of Understanding and an agreement on entry visa abolition for holders of diplomatic and official passports. The military academy will be named after legendary commanders of Armenian origin Alexander Suvorov and Valerian Mandatov. French Co-Chair of the OSCE Minsk Group Jacques Faure said the co-chairs are not planning a visit to Nagorno Karabakh.
