OFFICE OF PROSECUTOR GENERAL OF ARMENIA SPREAD NEW DATA ON TIGRAN NAGHDALIAN'S MURDER

PanARMENIAN.Net - The office of the prosecutor general of Armenia has spread new data on the murder of chairman of the Council of the Public TV and Radio of Armenia Tigran Naghdalian. The press release says investigation has shown 32-year-old John Harutyunian assassinated Tigran Naghdalian December 28, 2002. A charge is brought against him in compliance with the Criminal Code of Armenia for willful homicide and illegal possession of arms. According to the prosecutor's office data, 43-year-old Gegham Shahbazian is the immediate organizer of the crime and the link between the customer and the killers. 41-year-old Levon Harutyunian gave him an order for the crime costing $30 thousand. To ascertain the veracity of the order G. Shahbazian got in touch with 48-year-old Hovhannes Harutyunian nicknamed Aper, being searched for at present. In his turn, H. Harutyunian confirmed the availability of the order and suggested more favorable terms - $50 thousand. The group received part of the sum promised - $20 thousand - the next day of the assassination. The rest of the money was never paid. The inquiry has also found out that Hovhannes Harutyunian (Aper) is second cousin of member of Republic Party board Aram Sargsian. And the initial customer - Levon Harutyunian is godfather of Aram Sargsian's brother - Armen. The investigation continues.
