ARF Dashnaktsutyun member, current mayor of Armenia’s Kapan city Artur Atayan submitted a statement to electoral commission #38 on withdrawing his candidacy from September 9 local government elections.

“Representative of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) Ashot Hayrapetyan remains the only candidate for mayor’s post,” commission head Sergey Sargsyan told a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter.
