PACE RAPPORTEUR TO VISIT KARABAKH CONFLICT REGION LATE IN MARCH

PanARMENIAN.Net - Late in March Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe rapporteur on the Nagorno Karabakh conflict Terry Davis will visit the conflict zone. As reported by "De Facto" agency referring to Azeri media, Terry Davis will only visit Baku and Yerevan. The European parliamentary is not going to visit the Nagorno Karabakh Republic capital of Stepanakert. He intends to meet with Nagorno Karabakh representatives in Georgia though. The decision to visit the region was made at a sitting of the PACE Political Committee in Paris March 5, at which Terry Davis' report was heard. "The problem is complex and delicate, and one should be extremely careful when assessing the situation," - he noted.
