Egypt official says Israel’s hard-line attitude pushed Palestine to UN

PanARMENIAN.Net - Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs Mohamed Amr asserted that Palestine resorted to the UN after all Palestinian peace efforts were undermined by Israel's hard-line attitude and continuing settlement building, The Jerusalem Post reported.

Egyptian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Amr Roshdi said the comments were made during a meeting with U.S. Department of State Assistant Secretary for the Near Eastern Affairs Elizabeth Jones, who is currently visiting Egypt.

The meeting reportedly covered regional issues, especially the Syrian crisis and the Palestinian problem and Egypt's vision on each case.
