ARMENIAN OMBUDSPERSON TO REPORT AT UN HUMAN RIGHTS COMMISSION 61-ST SESSION

PanARMENIAN.Net - Ombudsperson of Armenia Larisa Alaverdian is today leaving for Geneva to take part in the 61-st session of the UN Human Rights Commission. Ms. Alaverdian will make a report and take part in the discussion of the topic of National Human Rights Institutions and Regional Cooperation, Regnum news agency reported. Simultaneous to it, the UN Human Rights Commission organizes the 16-th session of the International Coordinating Committee of National Institutions for the Promotion and Protection of Human Rights (ICC). In the course of the session the role of the national human rights institutions in the Human Rights Commission and other UN structures will be discussed. The agenda also includes question referring to migration, national minorities, violence against children and others.
