EU-ARMENIA COMMISSION 2-DAY SITTING TO OPEN IN STRASBOURG TODAY

PanARMENIAN.Net - The 7-th sitting of the EU-Armenia commission will be held in Strasbourg April 13-14,

Armenian Co-Chair of the Parliamentary Commission for Foreign Affairs Armen Rustamian stated, IA Regnum reports. In his words, the agenda will include issues referring to the domestic situation and democratic processes in Armenia, anti-corruption strategy pursued by the government, economic and social situation, energy, environment protection, education and culture, relations with neighbors, unhampered communications, situation in Nagorno Karabakh and the EU Neighborhood Policy. Wider Europe: New Neighbors EU initiate will be discussed as a separate item. According to Rustamian, Armenia will complete the work at the program in 2005. During the sitting the Armenian party intends to present the outcomes of the parliamentary hearings on Nagorno Karabakh held March 29-30. Armen Rustamian also noted that the regional cooperation should not be impeded due to the non-settlement of the Karabakh conflict.
