Strand nabs “The Condemned” thriller![]() October 31, 2012 - 18:35 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Strand Releasing has acquired all North American rights to Roberto Busó-García’s The Condemned (Los Condenados) and is in negotiations to license the U.S. TV rights to the film to HBO, The Hollywood Reporter said. Strand is planning a spring 2013 release for the thriller about a haunted mansion that was filmed in Puerto Rico. The film stars Cristina Rodlo as an heiress who plans to restore the mansion in her father’s memory only to discover that the mansion’s past is returning to haunt the surrounding town and its residents. The film also stars René Monclova, Daisy Granados, Marisé Álvarez and José Caro. Strand Releasing’s Jon Gerrans, who negotiated the deal with Busó-García, said, “We’re thrilled to be working with Roberto on this intriguing film and hope that it has a great life both theatrically as well as in its ancillary markets.” ![]() ![]() Ara Aivazian said Azerbaijan continues the traditions of Turkey after seizing territories and forced Armenians out.
