Levon Aronian retains 2nd spot in FIDE rankings

PanARMENIAN.Net - On November 1, FIDE published the list of strongest chess players of the world, placing Armenian grandmaster Levon Aronian second with 2815 points.

Magnus Carlsen (Norway) tops the list with 2848 points; Russia’s Vladimir Kramnik is 3rd with 2795 points.

Armenian grandmaster Vladimir Akopian is 45th with 2703 points; Sergei Movsesian dropped to 62nd place with 2688 points; Gabriel Sargissian is 74th with 2679 points.

Armenia’s 2012 chess champion Tigran L. Petrosian comes 92nd with 2659 points.
