Robert Hovhannisyan suffers 1st defeat at Chigorin Memorial

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian grandmaster Robert Hovhannisyan suffered his first defeat by Russia’s Alexander Shimanov in the 5th round of Mikhail Chigorin Memorial to drop to the 9th place.

Meanwhile, Avetik Grigoryan tied a game vs. India’s Krishnan Sasikiran, while Vladimir Akopian beat Russia’s Vadim Moiseenko. Grigoryan currently comes 16th, Akopian is placed 25th.

Chigorin Memorial will last through November 4.
