Russia-based Armenian Smbat Karakhanyan continues cooperation with the Armenian National Congress (ANC) leadership, Hraparak daily reported.
ANC coordinator Levon Zurabyan’s frequent visits to Moscow are said to pursue the goal of meeting Karakhanyan.
“Former ANC member, Free Democrats party representative Alexander Arzumanyan was the first to introduce Zurabyan to Karakhanyan. Their relationship is said to have witnessed quite interesting turn of events. When Arzumanyan was in jail, Armenia’s first president Levon Ter-Petrossian sent an envoy to Karakhanyan to convey his trust in Zurabyan. Later, however, Karakhanyan refused to answer Arzumanyan’s calls when the latter was already in freedom,” the paper says.
It’s noteworthy that Moscow-based “Miabanutyun” Armenian national club head Smbat Karakhanyan is famous for his scandalous discoveries about properties of RA political elite.
